Two Russian nationals linked to terrorism removed from Bosnia

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs (SFA) announced that, based on collected operational intelligence, two Russian nationals from Chechnya entered the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The individuals were identified as security-relevant and linked to terrorism, posing a potential threat to national security.
According to SFA, in cooperation with the Intelligence-Security Agency, an urgent and coordinated operation was carried out to locate and place the individuals under supervision.
Through operational efforts, the two were quickly identified and located in the Sarajevo area, after which they were placed under supervision and housed at the Immigration Centre in East Sarajevo, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Upon completion of all legally prescribed procedures, on October 17, 2025, the individuals were removed from the territory of BiH.
The SPS stated that it will continue, in cooperation with relevant security agencies, to take all legally mandated measures to preserve national security and protect citizens.
