Bosnia’s state police arrested on Thursday two persons suspected of crimes against humanity committed in the municipality of Ilijas in 1992.
The arrests took place in the eastern towns of Rogatica and Zvornik.
The arrests come following an investigation into the abductions and killings of 22 Bosniak civilians, including women and elderly people, who were shot in Ljesevo, the BiH Prosecutor's Office said.
The suspects arrested are believed to be the direct perpetrators who personally participated in the abduction and murder of the victims.
