The U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina stated on X that the president of the country’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, is “manipulating state funds”, noting that the BiH state budget includes funding for the Indirect Tax Authority to buy a new headquarters in Banja Luka and that the project “has been tendered out five times, leaving only one company to contract with”.

“Milorad Dodik is manipulating state funds too. The BiH state budget includes funding for the Indirect Tax Authority to buy a new headquarters in Banja Luka. This project has been tendered out five times, leaving only one company to contract with. Who in Dodik’s circle will benefit from this suspicious process? This type of corruption has real costs for residents in the RS and across BiH”, the Embassy stated.

The BiH budget provides funds for the purchase of a building for the Indirect Tax Authority. However, only the company of Mile Radisic, a businessman with close ties to Dodik, meets the conditions for the project.
