Ukrainian President welcomes Bosnia Presidency Chair congratulatory message

In correspondence dated August 24, 2026, Becirovic extended sincere congratulations on behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in his personal capacity, wishing peace and prosperity to the Ukrainian people. The letter emphasised that Independence Day symbolises shared values of freedom, sovereignty, and international law, while confirming that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains consistently committed to supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence within internationally recognised borders.

Acknowledging the message via social media, President Zelensky stated that Ukraine deeply values the solidarity shown by BiH and its citizens. He further noted that he looks forward to deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
