Director of the BiH Border Police, Mirko Kupresakovic, received the US Ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, with his associates, and the Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs, Mirsad Buzar.
Interlocutors discussed the security situation and challenges in Bosnia, as well as the importance of continuing extremely successful cooperation, BiH Border Police said.
Kupresakovic thanked the US Embassy for their long-term support to the BiH Border Police and for organizing a series of specialist trainings for members of the BiH Border Police. The Director added that the US Embassy unreservedly supports the BiH Border Police by investing in the capacities of the BiH Border Police and in the form of specialist equipment, which greatly helps police officers in their work and activities in the field with the aim of suppressing cross-border crime.
Ambassador Murphy thanked Director Kupresakovic and emphasized the importance of strengthening the existing cooperation between the US Embassy, BiH Border Police and the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH.
He emphasized the importance of increased cooperation in the fight against terrorism and for border security and reiterated the continued support of the United States of America for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
