Becirovic emphasised continued US support during his recent visits to Washington, Dayton, and New York, highlighting America’s commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Euro-Atlantic path and broader cooperation.
He raised concerns over persistent attacks on the constitutional order by Republika Srpska’s political leadership, calling it a threat to peace and stability across the region. Becirovic stressed the need for consistent international support in defending the Dayton Peace Agreement and state institutions.
The meeting also focused on strengthening economic and trade ties. Becirovic noted that the BiH Presidency, acting on his initiative, held a series of special sessions in June and July to launch bilateral trade consultations with the US and approved a Letter of Intent and a confidentiality agreement related to trade talks with the US Department of Commerce.
