US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien is expected to arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina for an official visit next week.
“Avaz” reported that O'Brien will be in BiH between February 1 and 3 and is expected to meet with members of the BiH Presidency.
As the US official in charge of European and Eurasian affairs, O'Brien recently commented on BiH and stated that certain leaders in the country “benefit from instability”, stressing that reforms must be implemented to end this.
O'Brien is known to the public in BiH as the “father of the Dayton Agreement”, as he actively participated in the proposal of this agreement that brought peace after the war in the 1990s.
