During the first constituent session of the Democratic Action Movement (PDA), the current party leader, Mirsad Kukic, resigned from that position, and the mandate to the position will be given to Elzina Piric, from Sunday.
The reason for his resignation is the fact that Kukic was placed on a State Department black list, published Jan. 5.
According to the allegations from the US Embassy, Kukic was placed on that list due to corrupt actions that he committed with political influence.
The party coalition partners in the Tuzla Canton, the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Our Party (NS), demanded Kukić's resignation so that the government in the Tuzla Canton would continue to function in the same composition, which he fulfilled Sunday.
Elzina Piric is a member of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) entity and enjoys the trust of the current president of the PDA, Mirsad Kukic.
