US diplomat Mark Fleming lands in BiH: Focus on economic prosperity and stability

Mark Fleming, Director of the Office of European and Eurasian Affairs in the US Department of State's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, has arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and held a series of meetings with high-level state officials. Tuesday, he met with the Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo.

In the meeting with Council of Ministers Chair Borjana Kristo, Director Fleming "stressed the importance of working together to achieve a better future based on economic prosperity and regional stability," the U.S. Embassy announced in a statement.
Fleming's visit underscores the continued commitment of the United States, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, to the stability and progress of the Western Balkans.
Prior to his meeting with Kristo, Fleming also met with the acting President of Republika Srpska (RS), Ana Trisic Babic. During this discussion, Fleming particularly emphasized the significance of cooperation from RS officials in preserving the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and strengthening stability and economic development.
This visit highlights the U.S. focus on fostering collaboration among all levels of government in BiH to secure a path toward Euro-Atlantic integration and long-term economic growth.
