Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held a press conference where he spoke about Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically about the president of the country's Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, to whom he once again expressed his full support.

Although he did not begin his address with this topic—despite considering it one of the most important—Vucic voiced his support for Milorad Dodik and his supporters.

“This will pass tomorrow (referring to the protests in Belgrade, ed.), but in two or three days, we will have to face a much bigger problem. The decision to issue a warrant for the detention of President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandic, and the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Viskovic is deeply troubling, anti-democratic, and fundamentally destabilizing for the entire region”, he said.

“We are now facing an extremely dangerous situation, and it is unbelievable that some do not understand how crucial stability and unity are for us in such a moment. I can call for stability, unity, and togetherness, but others are not interested in that because their goal from the outside is precisely to dismantle Republika Srpska so that Serbia cannot help it. Of course, after that, they want to dismantle Serbia as well. It doesn’t matter which domino falls first. Their aim is for the Serb people to no longer have any protection of their vital national interests, and they think that will be the end of it,” Vucic stated.

Then he addressed the British ambassador.

“He spoke about our obligations to respect the Dayton Agreement and the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also mentioned sovereignty, but that is something else. We have always respected it, but dear ambassador, it was precisely the High Representatives from the United Kingdom, such as Paddy Ashdown, who did not respect the Dayton Agreement. Instead, they trampled on it brutally, changing it however they pleased to align with British interests rather than the interests of the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Vucic said that Serbia “will not deviate from respecting the Dayton Agreement” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but that “it cannot accept changing the rules just because it suits certain great powers”.

“Since they are unable to do anything in the war in Ukraine against Russia, they have found a small Serbian people to once again take out their frustrations on. The time of mistreatment is over. Serbia will always be an ally if you want peace and respect for principles, but if you do not, we will not engage in conflicts and quarrels. However, we will always respond clearly and unequivocally”, Vucic said.

“Let’s repeat once again: Republika Srpska is not responsible just because someone is trying to take away its property. According to the Dayton Agreement, property issues fall under the jurisdiction of the entities, not the central government, and this is explicitly stated—only what is exempt is clear, and property is not exempt. And yet, you have overturned that as well. On top of that, you have attempted to arrest three officials of an entity. This does not happen in any other country in Europe; it is only allowed against Serbs. And worst of all, you support such decisions”, he stressed.

Vucic also alleged that molotov cocktails, intended to be used for setting fire to buildings in the Serbian capital during the Saturday student protests, were found in a stolen car from BiH.

“I received information that Molotov cocktails, baseball bats, and balaclavas were found in a car stolen from Bosnia and Herzegovina, so that no one would know who was responsible—just so someone could use the Molotov cocktails to set fire to cars and buildings,” Vucic said.
