Red Star Belgrade fans attacked in ambush near Tuzla: 93 arrested, 23 injured

The incident involved a group of Red Star fans, known as "Delije," who were returning from Sweden following their team's 1-0 Europa League victory over Malmö. The attack took place after the fans landed at Tuzla Airport and began their organized departure. Local police have confirmed that the attack was carried out by supporters of Hajduk Split.

Casualties and hospitalizations

The confrontation resulted in 23 injuries, including one police officer. According to the portal crnahronika.info, 18 individuals sought medical assistance at the University Clinical Center (UKC) Tuzla.

One fan remains in critical condition and has been admitted to the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Reanimation (Intensive Care Unit). This individual sustained serious injuries to the head, spine, chest, and arms, along with numerous bodily contusions.

The remaining injured patients were treated across various UKC Tuzla clinics. Following diagnostic examinations and medical aid, most were released for home treatment, as confirmed by the hospital.

Extensive arrests and regional scope

Law enforcement officials apprehended 93 individuals following the riot. During the clash, several vehicles were also vandalized.

Many individuals sustained minor physical injuries. Among the injured are fans from Banja Luka, Prijedor, Bijeljina, Doboj, and Laktasi, as well as Croatian citizens from Split, Pula, Trogir, Ploce, Medjugorje, and Citluk.

In the sporting event preceding the violence, Red Star Belgrade defeated Malmö 1-0, with a goal by Vasilije Kostov assisted by Marko Arnautovic.
