The most critical situation flood wise is in Bosanska Otoka and Bosanska Krupa, Muhamed Pecenkovic from the Una Sana Canton’s Civil Protection Administration told N1 Thursday, adding that the water levels are dropping. Armin Halitović, head of Bosanska Krupa, criticized the work of the Federation (FBiH) entity Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ).
“This morning, the water level measured at six o'clock in Bihac was 21 cm lower than the day before. In Sanski Most, the water level was 63 cm lower this morning than yesterday. Also, the Una River water level in Bosanska Otoca and Bosanska Krupa is high, in B. Krupa it was 342 cm high and in B. Otoka 334 cm, but they are lower than yesterday. So in B. Krupa by 13 cm and in B. Otoka by 8 cm,” Pecenkovic pointed out.
“There are 200 buildings in Bihac, 250 in Bosanska Krupa, 350 in Sanski Most, 24 in Velika Kladusa and 10 in Cazin that are under water”, he noted.
The head of the Bosanska Krupa Municipality, Armin Halitovic, said that the previous night was peaceful, unlike before, criticizing the FUCZ.
“We needed the pumps and they came at half past 12 last night and that's all we asked for. The FUCZ had to be here earlier. They are the most qualified [for this kind of disaster],” said Halitovic.
