A large group of citizens gathered today at Marijin Dvor in front of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina to send a clear message to the authorities following a horrific tram accident. The gathering followed a show of support held earlier in front of the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakas" General Hospital for 17-year-old Ella Jovanovic, who remains severely injured.

Positioned at the major intersection near the Sarajevo City Center (SCC), protesters held banners as traffic in this part of the city came to a complete standstill. Long columns of vehicles formed, prompting demonstrators to call on waiting drivers to leave their cars and join the spontaneous gathering. The streets of Marijin Dvor echoed with chants of "Come out, come out!"

Ena Bajric, one of the participants, questioned whether enough lives had already been lost due to government negligence. "The authorities must take action immediately; the people are demanding the bare minimum, that victims receive the justice they deserve," Bajric stated.

The protest saw a mix of youth and older citizens. One participant expressed pride in the turnout, stating, "We truly must protect our citizens and our youth. Things like this must not happen to us anymore. We cannot keep losing our children."

The atmosphere intensified as many drivers eventually joined the crowd, united in shouting, "We want justice!" One citizen addressed the traffic disruption, noting that while waiting in line is difficult, it pales in comparison to the pain of parents waiting for children who will never return. "We have gathered in large numbers to tell the authorities they can no longer do whatever they want," she concluded.
