The President of BiH's Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, met in Banja Luka with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
“Welcome, Rudy”, Dodik wrote on Instagram, sharing a video from the meeting.
Dodik exchanged caps with Giuliani’s associates, who had traveled from the U.S. The RS President was gifted MAGA caps – Make America Great Again – while he gifted a cap that read Make RS Great Again.
Last week, Dodik confirmed to RTRS that former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani had accepted his invitation to visit Banja Luka. Dodik stated that their discussions would focus primarily on Republika Srpska and confirmed that several channels of communication with the new U.S. administration exist.
President Dodik previously said that the people see Giuliani as a legendary New York mayor, a symbol of resilience, and a fighter for justice.
“You have personally experienced how the system can use the judiciary and media campaigns to attack political opponents, which makes your story an example of courage and perseverance,” Dodik said at the time.
