A wildfire in the Sutjeska National Park area is threatening to disrupt the Foca-Gacko road communication.
Helicopters from the Helicopter Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, along with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been deployed to combat the blaze.
Representatives from the Republic Civil Protection will inspect the fire sites in Sutjeska and Herzegovina today, according to Nezavisne.
The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved the use of helicopters from Serbia to assist in extinguishing the fire. The Serbian helicopters are expected to begin operations today, following an agreement between BiH Security Minister Nenad Nesic and Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic.
