Bosnia national basketball team defeated France in a spectacular double-overtime battle in the second round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, improving chances to secure a spot in the competition of the world's best teams next year.
Led by NBA star Jusuf Nurkic and Real Madrid newcomer Dzanan Musa, the Bosnian squad won 96-90 after two extensions, with Nurkic scoring 21 and Musa 17 points.
Numerous regional and world media outlets reported on the game, commending the performance of the Bosnian team against the fourth team in the world.
In a spectacular up-and-down match between the favorites and the underdogs, it was the underdogs that captured the victory.

Speaking after the game, head coach Adis Beciragic thanked the fans who packed the Skenderija hall and supported the team throughout the match.
“We wasted a lot of energy but we played well for a bigger part of the match and that's why we won,” he said.
Beciragic also praised his players for gathering the strength after the second fourth and playing excellent game in the third fourth.
“A wonderful victory, the fans gave us 30 percent of the energy and it won't be like this in the EuroBasket,” said Beciragic, referring to the European championship that starts in Germany in a few days.
