“It is very important to take to the streets again. Every year we continuously walk these streets. Fascism is rising in the world, and we see the greatest democracy, the USA, turning to the right. It has never been more important to come out to the streets—to fight for the rights not only of LGBTIQ people but of all marginalized groups because fascist groups attack all marginalized groups,” said Lejla Huremovic from the Organizing Committee.
Jelena Kravljaca, also from the organizing committee, repeated earlier demands that the public is already familiar with.
“Our demands have not been met and we have made weak and small steps toward that,” she emphasized.
Ivana Arapovic stated that there is no political will for the LGBTIQ population to receive the rights it deserves.

“There is no political will from our authorities and state institutions, so this is the sixth year in a row we are leading this, and we will continue in the coming years until our demands are met. We are equal citizens of society, we contribute equally but do not have the same rights,” she explained.
Police officers are also present on the ground to secure the event.
