Bosnian Court sentenced Maksim Bozic and Edin Hastor to a total of six and a half years in prison for plans to commit terrorist attacks in East Sarajevo and Tuzla, BIRN said on Thursday.
“They planned and prepared attacks on the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in East Sarajevo and the Tuzla Canton Interior Ministry building,” the first-instance verdict said.
The Court said that, as members of the radical Salafi movement, Bozic and Hastor contacted other individuals to get arms and explosives, and planned and prepared terrorist attacks on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bozic was sentenced to four and Hastor to two and a half years in prison.
The two were indicted in July last year but they denied all charges a month later.
After a year-long trial, the Prosecution asked for their conviction while the defence said all the charges should be dropped.
Bozic and Hastor have a right to an appeal.
