Bosnian student creates environment-friendly plastic, wins award at Brazil fair

Balic worked on the ‘Biolution for Pollution’ for four years with the goal to create a type of plastic which would be less damaging to the environment.

Among 700 projects from all over the world, Topic received the bronze medal for her idea at the Mostratec fair, as well as a medal for the best-designed project.

Topic’s idea also previously won gold at the Bosepo science competition.
