A group of citizens announced another protest in front of the Office of the High Representative of the international community in the country. The protest will take place on Tuesday, April 25, this time under the slogan: "Why the embargo on democracy?".
“The international community advocated for one thing and did another. It handed down verdicts and guidelines on how our government should act, and through the High Representative, it did something completely different,” said Suad Djozic, from the ReStart BiH citizen group.
He said that High Representative Christian Schmidt should be helping the country implement the judgments of the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and apply the European Convention for Human Rights, as well as use his powers to impose at least some of the 14 priorities the European Commission defined for BiH to make progress in its EU integration.
“Instead, he put himself at the service of retrograde, segregationist, ethno-feudal initiatives that, violating the sovereignty of our country, he carries out at the behest of Zagreb and Belgrade,” he said.
