The Foreign Policy Committee of Austria’s Parliament unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide on Tuesday.
The alliance of the Bosnian associations in Austria ‘Consilium Bosniacum’ had launched an initiative for the adoption of the resolution in 2020. The initiative was submitted to the Austrian parliament on June 14, 2022, and was signed by representatives of the Green Party, the People's Party, the Social Democratic Party and the Neos party.

“Today, the resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica was unanimously adopted by the Foreign Policy Committee of the Austrian Parliament. The Austrian right-wing party FPO also voted in favour of the resolution”, the head of the Consilium Bosniacum, Damir Saraceivic, told N1.
He explained that the Austrian Parliament is set to vote on the resolution in early July.
