The Bosniak member of the tripartite BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic, will meet with NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, at the NATO Headquarters on Monday.

According to the NATO press release, there will be no media opportunity at the meeting.

Becirovic has repeatedly stressed BiH’s NATO integration as a priority in his work, both during the election campaign and after he took over the post in the Presidency.

“As a member of the BiH Presidency, I will use every opportunity to further speed up the path of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina to full NATO membership. My views on issues related to the NATO path of our country, as well as on other important issues for Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be in accordance with state interests and not narrow party interests. Our country must intensify cooperation with NATO in the military-defence dimension, as well as in activities related to the concept of security: the economic aspect of security, the rule of law, the fight against corruption, natural disasters and opposition to modern and unconventional security threats,” he said recently.
