A meeting between the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the highest officials of Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity and representatives of its parliamentary parties is underway in Belgrade with only one item of the agenda – the discussion of the appointment of a new international community High Representative in the country.
The meeting is also attended by the RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, RS parliament Speaker Nedeljko Cubrilovic, RS President Zeljka Cvijanovic, Bosnian Serb member Milorad Dodik and other political officials.
RS President Zeljka Svijanovic wrote a letter, recently, to Serbia's Vucic requesting he organized a meeting to discuss the „controversial appointment of the High Representative to BiH“ Christian Schmidt, who was appointed by the Peace Implementation Council contrary to the Russian opinion who voted against his appointment.
The meeting is also attended by the leader of the opposition Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Mirko Sarovic.
