Under the decision, duty-free imports of a total of 300,000 tonnes of nitrogenous, mineral and chemical fertilizers classified under seven tariff codes will be allowed temporarily, from January 1 to December 31, 2027, to meet the needs of registered agricultural producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through this emergency measure, the Council of Ministers is ensuring the continuation of relief for farmers to help address fertilizer shortages and high prices. The aim is to help increase yields of cereals and other crops and mitigate price increases for these products in the interest of consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers said in a statement.
