The Chairwoman of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Zeljka Cvijanovic, sent a telegram of condolence to the President of Israel Isaac Herzog and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the armed attack at a synagogue.
“I am honestly shocked by the news about the terrorist attack that happened near the synagogue in Jerusalem. There is no justification for the merciless killings of innocent people and civilians, and it is especially horrifying that this brutal act happened on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, when the Jewish people remembered their martyred compatriots with special sadness. Dear Excellency, I express my deepest condolences and support to you, the families of the victims and the Israeli people, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery,” the telegram sent by Cvijanovic states.
Seven people were killed and ten wounded in an armed attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.
Alkam Kairi (21), who was killed in a clash with the policemen while trying to escape, shot at the worshipers who were leaving the synagogue.
