BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 20 in Moscow, Srna news agency reported Thursday.

This information was confirmed by the head of the Republika Srpska entity representative office in Moscow, Dusko Perovic.

“It is a confirmation of continuously good relations. For now, it is known that political and economic relations will be the topics of the conversation,” said Perovic.

It is important to note that this visit takes place right before the beginning of the BiH General Elections that are set for October 2, which can be interpreted as Putin's support to Dodik, who is otherwise considered one of the few politicians in BiH who supports the Russian President despite the numerous sanctions introduced to Russia after their invasion of Ukraine.
