Although Bosnia did not secure any Olympic medals this year, those who represented the country at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics achieved historic results.
Taekwondo athlete Nedzad Husic achieved the best result for BiH as he achieved fifth place in the men’s 68 kg category – the best Olympic position the country ever took.

Amel Tuka, who was the BiH flag-bearer at the opening ceremony together with judoka Larisa Ceric, achieved the second-best result, coming in sixth in the 800-meter race finals with a time of 1:45:98.
Ceric took ninth place in the women's +78 kg division.
Bosnian swimmer, Lana Pudar, came in 19th in the 100m Butterfly competition with a time of 58.32, which was not enough for making it to the semi-finals.
Swimmer Emir Muratovic took 45th place in the 100m freestyle and 42nd at the 50m competitions.
Sports shooter Tatjana Djekanovic took 47th place at the women's 10-metre air rifle event.
The last to represent BiH at the Tokyo Olympics was shot putter Mesud Pezer, who took 11th place at the finals with 20.08 metres.
