The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed in a statement for N1 that it is carrying out "certain checks" concerning the international peace envoy in BiH, High Representative Christian Schmidt.
“We are conducting certain checks within the scope of the Agency's competencies, but we cannot present more information in public,” SIPA spokesperson Jelena Miovcic briefly told N1.
The information comes days after Serb member of Bosnia's State Presidency Zeljka Cvijanovic and Security Minister Nenad Nesic asked the police agencies about the information on Schmidt's security guards.
Also, Milorad Dodik, the president of Republika Srpska entity, asked for details about granting Schmidt a diplomatic passports.
