Bosnia's Armed Forces deliver water to save Livno wild horses amid drought

Acting on a direct order from the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, personnel from the 1st Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Brigade have been deployed to transport drinking water to the wild horses roaming the Kruzi plateau in the Livno region. A specialized military water tanker was dispatched to secure a consistent water supply for the animals, which face acute vulnerability due to adverse weather conditions.

The wild horses represent a prominent natural heritage asset and an iconic symbol of the Livno area. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that protecting these animals forms part of a shared responsibility for regional nature conservation. This mission underscores the military's ongoing commitment to safeguarding the nation's natural treasures within the scope of its legal mandate and operational capabilities.
