Bosnia's Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic will participate at the NATO Summit held in Washington from July 9. to 11. as part of his working visit to the United States.
On the first day of the Summit, Minister Konakovic will participate in the event “Women, Peace and Security” organized by the State Department at the invitation of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Konakovic will then attend a reception where the 75th anniversary of NATO's existence, which was launched in Washington on April 4, 1949.
On the second day, he is scheduled to partake in a dinner hosted by the US Secretary of State meant for foreign ministers and participants of the NATO Summit.
On Thursday the Minister will participate in the NATO Public Forum session titled “Western Balkans – NATO and the EU in partnership”.
The NATO Summit in Washington is a regular annual meeting, during which several documents and decisions will be adopted. The main topics on the agenda are security challenges in the new geopolitical environment, deterrence and defence, continued support for Ukraine, challenges from all strategic directions and strengthening global partnerships, especially with Indo-Pacific partners and the EU, the Ministry said.
