Bosnia’s Foreign Ministry headed by Elmedin Konakovic condemned the horrific attack near Moscow, where innocent civilians were tragically killed.
“It is an unforgivable criminal act that we strongly condemn. It is imperative that a thorough and swift investigation be conducted into its background. We express our deepest condolences,” The Ministry said on the X platform.
At least 93 people have died after Friday night's attack at the Crocus City Hall in the Moscow region, the Russian Investigative Committee said.
“The death toll will continue to rise,” they said in a statement.
“According to preliminary data, the causes of death were gunshot wounds and poisoning by combustion products.”
There is still no official report from Moscow on the perpetrators and motives of the attack, but the US has confirmed that it is the Islamic State.
The United States has previously warned that since the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan in 2021, “its ability to conduct intelligence related to extremist groups in Afghanistan, including ISIS-K, has been reduced.
“ISIS-K has been fixated on Russia for the past two years. They often criticize [Russian President Vladimir] Putin in their propaganda,” said Colin Clarke of the Soufan Center, a Washington-based think tank.
