Bosnia's Kerim Alajbegovic completes move to Juventus

The 18-year-old completed his medical in Turin before signing a contract that runs until June 2031. According to media reports, the deal is worth around €35 million, including bonuses.

Alajbegovic joins Juventus from Bayer Leverkusen after spending last season on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, where he further enhanced his reputation as one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most promising young players.

The winger had attracted interest from several European clubs, including Chelsea, Atalanta, Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina, but ultimately opted to continue his career in Italy. Reports suggested Juventus' sporting project and the opportunity for first-team football played a key role in his decision.

Ahead of the official announcement, Alajbegovic bid farewell to Bayer Leverkusen in a message on social media.

"I am grateful to have been part of this club. Thank you for everything. I wish the club all the best and every success in the future," he wrote.

Former Bosnia and Herzegovina international Miralem Pjanic, who spent four seasons at Juventus, welcomed the move.

"I am very happy for the Alajbegovic family, who are thrilled to be here. We hope Kerim will achieve great things," Pjanic said.

Thomas Letsch, the coach who handed Alajbegovic his senior debut at Red Bull Salzburg, recently told Tuttosport that the youngster has the potential to reach the level of players such as Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz. He praised Alajbegovic's desire to improve and his competitive mentality.

Alajbegovic is expected to join Juventus' first-team preparations ahead of the 2026-27 season.
