Bosnia’s best female swimmer, Lana Pudar, took gold in the finals of the Women's 200-metre butterfly competition at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships in Rome, becoming the first Bosnian swimmer to win gold in European championships.
Pudar achieved a time of 2:06.81, leaving Danish swimmer Helena Rosendahl Bach (2:07.30) and Ilaria Cusinato from Italy (2:07.77) behind.
The 16-year-old from Mostar also took bronze in the finals of the women's 100-metre butterfly competition on Monday.
The Bosnian will also compete in the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, taking place in Peru from 30 August to 4 September.
