Brilliant Lana Pudar reaches European Championship final, to fight for 200m butterfly medal
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s swimming star Lana Pudar has reached the final of the 200m butterfly at the European Championships, securing the opportunity to compete for another medal in her impressive career.
The Mostar-born swimmer finished third in her semifinal heat with a time of 2:09.65.
Emily Richards of Great Britain posted the fastest time in Pudar’s semifinal, finishing in 2:07.10, while Paola Borelli was second in 2:08.97.
Across the two semifinal heats, Pudar recorded the seventh-fastest time among the 16 swimmers.
The 200m butterfly final is scheduled for tomorrow at 6:47 p.m. in Paris.
The eight fastest swimmers from the semifinals will compete for the medals.
