A few hundreds of citizens gathered on Tuesday afternoon in front of the Office of the High Representative in Sarajevo due to discontent with actions of the international community's official Christian Schmidt in BiH and the announced use of Bonn powers as well as the secessionist statements by Republika Srpska entity president Milorad Dodik.

The citizens were carrying the banners that read ‘Citizens against embargo on democracy’, ‘Schmidt, same solutions for both entities’, ‘Take off our Dayton straitjacket’, ‘Schmidt go away, OHR stay’, etc. Just like in the previous protest last month, they asked that Schmidt is removed from the post and replaced by another international envoy.

Some of the demonstrators pointed out that the High Representative is practicing a discriminatory politics in BiH especially towards the Bosniaks.

“Is this a state? I don't think so. What matters is that it gets better for us. We don't need ethnicities. Even dogs enjoy better rights in EU than we do here. I didn't fight for this. I haven't been working for 32 years. They have been killing us for 30 years. Either kill us, or let us live,” one of them said.

The gathering was secured by strong police forces and the street in front of the building was closed for traffic. There was no report of incidents during the protests.
