Particular progress was made in resolving the oldest cases. Courts completed 61 percent of the plan for cases in the two oldest age categories, compared with 53 percent in the same period last year.

These results show that courts have intensified their work on cases that have been pending the longest and further improved compliance with the obligation to resolve cases according to their age.

The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) will continue to monitor the implementation of case resolution plans with the aim of further improving the efficiency of courts and ensuring access to justice within reasonable timeframes, the HJPC said.
