Christian Schmidt, the new High Representative to BiH, arrived at the BiH Presidency for his first working meeting after taking office where he was welcomed by Zeljko Komsic, the Chairman, and Sefik Dzaferovic, a member of the Presidency of BiH, while the third member, Milorad Dodik, did not attend this meeting, as announced earlier.
Dodik has previously stated that he does not recognize the role of the High Representative in BiH, and since Valentin Inzko, who has held the post so far, imposed a law banning genocide denial, things have become even more complicated, so representatives in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska entity have decided not to respect decisions made by his successor Schmidt.
Schmidt officially took over the function of High Representative on Monday, and a reception was organized in his honour at the National Museum of BiH.
