Answering a journalist question regarding High Representative Christian Schmidt’s latest interview, the President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, said Thursday Schmidt is “a liar, not to say he’s full of s**t.”
In an interview with Belgrade's NIN, Schmidt said that there were moments in which he and Dodik occasionally met.
“We have known each other for a long time. Two years ago, we spoke on the phone about my appointment, and then he offered to meet, but it seems that his courage has left him in the meantime,” Schmidt said.
Dodik responded harshly to this statement.
“The man is lying, not to say that he’s full of s**t,” he said, adding that he had met him only once.
“I know that last year I was in Antalya and he took the opportunity to come and congratulate me, given that it's my birthday on March 12. That's all,” he said.
“I met with him when he was Germany’s Agriculture Minister and in East Sarajevo”, said Dodik and added: “There was no sign that he would come like some devil here”.
“He is not even a fake High Representative. He can only find two or three people with whom to meet, but institutionally, I represent the RS. He should prove when met with anyone,” Dodik said, claiming that Schmidt is a “zero” after which he referred to German politics.
“Germany is leading a dangerous and anti-Serb policy in the Balkans. Germany has become disorganized and thinks it can impose its own policy. They are on the Muslim (Bosniak) side in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We recognized that and said we won't [agree to it],” Dodik said, claiming that Schmidt came to implement such a policy.
