The President of Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, said that he will probably be visiting Russia before the presidential elections in that country. He also said that the RS did not end its relationship with the United States of America as a country, but rather with US diplomats in BiH.

“We choose the moment when America will become fair from our point of view, so that we can develop further relations. What we don't want to rehabilitate is the relationship with the British, because they are corrupt and have shown that throughout history”, Dodik said.

Dodik said that the RS has strong relations with powerful factors within Europe as well.

“We have the best relationship with Serbia, Hungary as well, Russia and China go without saying, Azerbaijan is also among those countries now. We have not ended our relationship with Croatia either”, he said.

As for his visit to Russia, Dodik said it will likely take place in April, and probably another one in June.

“In April, there is a security forum in St. Petersburg where I am a special guest who should be speaking. Last year, 111 countries participated, this year around 150 should take part”, Dodik told Glas Srpske.

Speaking about world developments, Dodik said that it seems that everything Europe did at the behest of America towards Russia was “illusory”. He argued that the West is clearly “losing its nerve” and that it needs to find some place where it can deal with smaller and weaker powers.

“We have to avoid their anger falling on us, but we must also not allow ourselves to lose our position”, he said.

Dodik said that his refusal to communicate with the American and British ambassadors produced more good than harm.

“If we had continued communication, we would have had more negative consequences. They ask that the issue of (state) property be decided in Sarajevo, we will not do that. They say “yes, you will”. We say we won't. And what should we talk about then?”, he said.
