The Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina denied the appeal of Milorad Dodik's defence team against the earlier decision to refuse to transfer the trial to the competent court in Banja Luka, the Republika Srpska President defence team’s legal advisor, Anto Nobilo told N1.
The appeal was rejected Thursday and sent to the participants in the process – the defence and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
Therefore, the hearing is scheduled for December 20 and it will not be postponed for now.
The defence’s request to move the trial was previously rejected by the Extra-Trial Chamber, immediately before the originally scheduled main trial. However, Dodik's defence appealed.
The hearing in the case against Dodik and acting Director of the “Official Gazette” Milos Lukic was adjourned to the Court of BiHon December 6, after the request of the defence lawyer team to have this case transferred to Banja Luka was rejected.
Dodik and Lukic are tried over non-execution of the decisions of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.
