The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections “Pod lupom” said that it recorded a total of 81 serious electoral irregularities so far on local election day in BiH. This includes cases of missing election materials, procedural failures regarding the access of observers to polling stations, and irregularities in the voting process such as taking photos of ballots, failures in the work of election boards, misuse of voting assistance, threatened secrecy of voting, etc.
An electoral irregularity that has traditionally been repeated from election cycle to election cycle is “family voting”, which has been recorded in 32% of polling stations in the country.
“Pod lupom” is also monitoring the implementation of new technologies at polling stations. By 12:00 p.m., in almost all polling stations, the equipment was functioning and the voting process was proceeding smoothly. The exceptions are one polling station in Doboj where electronic voter identification does not work and two polling stations in Tuzla where ballot scanners do not work, where voting continued without equipment.
