In addition to the hike for residential consumers, Vladicic noted that electricity prices for the business sector will see an increase of six percent. "In short, the final bills will be 10 percent higher," he emphasized.

During a session held on Monday, in Trebinje, members of the Regulatory Commission for Energy of Republika Srpska reached a decision regarding the grid charges for the 2026–2028 period.

This decision follows a series of requests from distribution companies in Republika Srpska. At the end of July, these companies initially petitioned the RERS for a grid charge increase of 40 percent. Just one month later, they submitted a revised request, seeking to raise that figure to 46.01 percent.

The Regulatory Commission for Energy of RS previously explained that the rise in costs for distributive losses was driven by an increase in the price of electricity provided by ERS to cover those losses, representing a jump of 39.95 percent. This spike in costs necessitated the further adjustment of average distribution prices from the initially proposed 40.58 percent to the final 46.01 percent.
