State land on Jahorina, whose sale was annulled by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on July 11, has been registered to the buyer, private company "Drvo-Export" from Teslic, despite the court's decision. Nedeljko Elek, chairman of the supervisory board of the Olympic Center Jahorina, criticized the Constitutional Court and disputed its decisions in an interview with N1.

The land was sold by the government of Republika Srpska in January, and earlier this month, the BiH Constitutional Court annulled the contract, stating that it concerns state property.

In January this year, the government of Republika Srpska sold 56.4 square kilometers of land on Jahorina for approximately 21 million euros. The Constitutional Court of BiH ordered the government to annul all activities related to the sale of this land.

Elek openly mocked the Constitutional Court's decision.

“That is not the Constitutional Court, that is the ‘Stop Court’ aiming to halt all investments in Republika Srpska, and we treat it accordingly. It’s not just about Jahorina; the same goes for HE Buk Bijela and many other investments they want to stop. I said it last year on N1, and you can see I was right. The property was registered on the same day, so there are no problems. We’ll invite the Constitutional Court judges to come and jump on the trampoline,” Elek stated.

It should be noted that the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, nullified anti-Dayton laws passed by the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska entity, concerning the non-publication of decisions by the High Representative and the non-implementation of BiH Constitutional Court decisions.

Accordingly, non-compliance with decisions made by the BiH Constitutional Court is considered a criminal offense. When asked by an N1 journalist if he expected the BiH Prosecutor's Office to react accordingly, Elek sarcastically commented:

“We’ll invite the prosecutors to the roller coaster, and they can spin around,” Elek remarked ironically.
