The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, paid tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, saying that the victims and the immeasurable pain of their loss will never be forgotten.
“Today we remember the tragedy of the Srebrenica genocide. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones who suffered an immeasurable loss. We will never forget. Fighting hatred, denial, divisive rhetoric — this is the best way to build a better future for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans,” Michel tweeted.

The commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the genocide against the Bosniaks in Srebrenica and the funeral of 30 identified victims of the genocide from July 1995 will be held Tuesday, at the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial Center.
The youngest victim to be buried this year is the boy Elvir Salcinovic, who was only 15 years old when he was killed.
