Evacuation of Bosnian nationals from Iran and Israel starts as Presidency temporarily closes embassies
The evacuation of Bosnian nationals from the conflicting countries in the Middle East has begun. Eight of them have already crossed from Iran to Turkey. Among them is Ambassador Nijaz Cardaklija, and another Bosnian diplomat. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina called on the citizens to closely monitor official information and avoid unsafe zones. So far, there is no information that any of the Bosnian citizens have been killed or injured.

Bosnian nationals are also being evacuated from Israel. Ambassador Dusko Kovacevic, as well as an embassy employee, are being transferred to safe territories. Their transport is taking place by land, given the difficult air traffic.
"And when they reach the territory from which they can be transferred by plane, they will come to BiH, so we are satisfied in terms of these things, the operation has started. Of course, phone lines are open to all Bosnian citizens who are in these two countries to call and we will ensure evacuation as soon as possible," said Sevlid Hurtic, Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are in the affected areas to contact the nearest diplomatic or consular mission or the Ministry's hotline: +387 61 168 100 .

The number is available on Viber and WhatsApp. They also called on Bosnian citizens to regularly monitor the official communication channels of the ministry and Bosnian embassies, and to avoid traveling in risk zones.
The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to temporarily close the embassies in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
