FBiH govt. allocates over 1.6 million marks to protect 1,500 returnee jobs in RS

Following an evaluation process, 469 beneficiaries qualified out of 510 total applicants. A sum exceeding 1.6 million Bosnian marks (approx. €818,000) has been assigned to preserve 1,588 jobs across 36 municipalities in the RS. The support targets a wide spectrum of local entities, encompassing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, tradespeople, agricultural holdings, cooperatives, and religious organisations.

Minister Dizdar emphasized that employment stability forms the foundation of sustainable return, stating that enabling residents to work in their local communities is essential for long-term viability and dignity.

Recipients expressed strong approval of the economic support. Emir Musli, Head of the Islamic Community Majlis in Bijeljina, highlighted the initiative as a critical source of stability for community operations. Osman Dzamastagic, owner of packaging manufacturer Roundliner BH in Prijedor, which employs 75 returnees out of a 188-strong workforce, noted that state assistance provides vital security and momentum amidst broader economic slowdowns.
