On Monday, tripartite aid agreements were signed at the Municipal Council Hall in Jablanica, providing assistance to 15 beneficiaries of donated funds collected through the solidarity campaign of the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The initiative was launched in response to the natural disaster that struck Jablanica on October 4 last year.

According to the Municipality of Jablanica, the donated funds total 775,475.23 Bosnian marks (approximately €396,000) and will be used to rehab and furnish housing units belonging to residents whose homes were damaged by floods and landslides.

Jablanica Mayor Emir Muratovic, the Secretary of the Red Cross of Jablanica Municipality Zehra Krnjic, and the aid recipients signed the agreements. The signing was also attended by the Secretary General of the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Namik Hodzic; the Secretary of the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Daniel Tucic; as well as representatives of local institutions and volunteers.

Red Cross representatives expressed gratitude to the Municipality of Jablanica, the Social Welfare Center, and volunteers who had been available to assist affected citizens since the onset of the crisis.

Mayor Muratovic emphasized that the signing of the agreements represents an important step in the recovery process and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation established with the Red Cross.

The funds were secured with the support of NLB Bank and other domestic and international donors and partners.
