The UK was the first to announce the sanctions on Monday, targeting Serb member of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency Milorad Dodik and President of the country's Serb-dominated entity Republika Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic for “undermining of the legitimacy ad functionality of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
Later during the day, the US Department of Treasury sanctioned former Bosnia's Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadic and MP Asim Sarajlic over corrupt activities i.e. actions that undermine democratic processes or institutions in the Western Balkans.
