The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, with the full support and consent of the Association of Citizens of Victims of the 92-95 War “April 16" from Ahmići, Asked Christian Schmidt, the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to dismiss the president of the country’s Federation (FBiH) entity over her statements on N1 TV regarding the war criminal Dario Kordic.
In response to the question of whether she supports Kordic, a convicted war criminal, in any way, Bradara replied: “A convict who has served his sentence ceases to be a war crime convict.”
As stated by the Association, in her statements on N1, Bradara violated the Dayton Peace Agreement.
“Ms Lidija Bradara showed the intention and impudence to affirm and glorify Dario Kordic, a war criminal, over a long period of time, even though she had been warned for many years, and despite the fact that the domestic and international public condemned her activities. It is the same level of insolence and intent as is the case with the officials from her political party, who have been blocking the entry of final verdicts of the ICTY, and the entry of verdicts against Dario Kordic for half a decade. Her latest statement comes before the 30th anniversary of the crime committed in Ahmici, for which Dario Kordic was sentenced, which caused reactions from the victims and the population in Central Bosnia, but also the whole of BiH,” the Association stated.
In addition to her dismissal, the Association requested that Bradara be banned from political engagement.
