Dragan Covic, leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), met with Christian Schmidt, the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Monday, to discuss key political issues, including the Election Law.

According to Covic, Schmidt expressed support for "joint efforts towards peace, stability, territorial integrity, and Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU path."

"In addressing current challenges, we discussed the necessary amendments to the Election Law to ensure the equality of the three constituent peoples," Covic stated on his official profile on the social media platform X.

The Office of the High Representative (OHR) also issued a statement, describing the meeting as constructive.

"A constructive discussion was held with the president of HDZ BiH on resolving current political, legal, and constitutional challenges, as well as strengthening institutional stability and functionality, to help Bosnia and Herzegovina advance on its Euro-Atlantic path," the OHR noted.
